Audiovisual Federation
The Audiovisual Federation is the Ibec representative body for the audiovisual industry in Ireland.
Role of Audiovisual Federation:
- To represent the industry to external stakeholders
- To provide high quality services to member organisations that will impact positively on business performance
Membership:
The Audiovisual Federation represents organisations involved in the audiovisual content creation value chain.
Mission:
To create one voice for the industry by enabling Audiovisual Federation member companies to work together on common issues

An innovative and competitive industry that maximises the creative and economic contribution of the audiovisual sector to Ireland.
Strategic Goals:
- Strengthen the industry profile
- Shape a positive policy environment
- Ireland to be a competitive location for film and television content creation
Current Priorities:
- Enhance industry profile through an external stakeholder communications programme;
- Promote a collaborative approach between the public service and industry towards the economic report on the sector commissioned by the Department of Arts including follow up via a public service/industry implementation group;
- Ensure all stakeholders focus on the implications of Brexit for the sector;
- Seek the extension of the Section 481 tax based production incentive beyond 2020 and ensure their competitiveness through an international benchmarking review every 2 years;
- Continue process of restoring adequate funding for the Irish Film Board and benchmark this annually against similar agencies in other jurisdictions so that indigenous talent is leveraged and international investment is attracted;
- Seek the stabilisation of the funding of public service broadcasting through improved television licence fee collection;
- Promote improved awareness of the economic damage caused by digital piracy and encourage more effective enforcement of anti-piracy measures.
