It is an umbrella organisation for the category specific associations of the medical technologies, plastics, engineering, forest and forest products and aeronautical industry, and acts as the principal, credible and authoritative voice of these manufacturing and services industries.
By forging close working relationships with ministers, government agencies, policy makers, commissioners and other relevant governing bodies, the Medtech & Engineering team helps members navigate the challenges facing both foreign direct investment and indigenous medical and engineering companies.
The umbrella sector is also the promoting organising for the Irish Medtech Association Skillnet, Irish Medtech Association Springboard, First Polymer Skillnet and Plastics Ireland Springboard government funded training initiatives.
