Introduction

The objective of Ibec transport policy is to ensure appropriate transport systems are developed which support competitiveness, economic growth and an enhanced quality of life. We interact regularly with policy makers in government departments, state authorities, the European Commission and with regulators to communicate our position on the strategic transport policy issues of interest to business. In addition, the enhanced infrastructure remit of the Transport & Infrastructure Council will be supporting our members’ continuing efforts to encourage greater ambition on public capital investment to enable sustainable economic development.

Transport and infrastructure policy is formulated through Ibec’s Transport & Infrastructure Council. The Council, consisting exclusively of Ibec members, represents both the users and providers of infrastructure. It is the national voice of business regarding all transport and infrastructure policy matters.
