Research Unit

Ibec's research unit is responsible for the regular and systematic collection of data on rates of pay and conditions of employment, and for surveying key business policy issues. It conducts annual and one-off surveys on a broad range of issues, based on member feedback and current business priorities.

Current research includes pay and conditions for over 250 different job titles across a number of industry sectors and gathering business sentiment on issues such as confidence, activity, credit availability, environmental issues and business costs. A major twice-yearly survey on HR issues is also carried out by the unit.

The findings are disseminated to members in order to inform them of current trends which may impact on their organisation or business. Ibec also uses the findings from our research to inform and support our policy and lobbying work.
